Meatball (Kofta) Curry


  • 12 Beef Meatballs (wash before using)
  • 1 Onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tbsp salt
  • 1/2 tbsp Garlic Paste
  • 2 tbsps garam masala
  • 1 tin of chopped tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup coriander leaves chopped fine

Preparation method

  1. Add oil in a pot and heat on full for about 1-2 minutes, then add chopped onions
  2. Cook Onions until golden brown
  3. Add tin of tomatoes
  4. Mix with a wooden spoon until tomatoes turn into a paste
  5. Add 1/2 tbsp of Salt, Add 1/2 tbsp Garlic Paste, Add 1/2 cup of coriander leaves and mix for 10-15 minutes
  6. Add half a cup of water and stir for 2-3 minutes
  7. Add washed meatballs to pot, and stir gently for 5 minutes
  8. Add half a cup of water and stir for 2-3 minutes
  9. Put lid onto the pot and leave to simmer on low heat for 20 minutes, ensuring you stir the curry every 5 minutes

If the water has dried out and the meatballs have not cooked then add another 1/2 cup of water and repeat process.
